Description

Built in the eighteenth century on previous settlements whose origins are lost in time, dedicated to the production of oil and sheep-breeding, the Bosco Alto farmhouse has been completely renovated in local stone, tuff and marble from Trani, showing great respect and understanding for its history and its architectural features, while providing classy and upbeat furnishings - from the porch hosting the big blue breakfast table to the cozy lounges scattered around the property - to indulge in the sophistication of sipping a cocktail under the star-studded sky, overlooking the landscape of Salento.
The location is ideal being between the Adriatic and Ionian seas , few kilometers from the small towns of Otranto , Santa Maria di Leuca and Gallipoli and about 50 km south of Lecce . You can range quickly from the sea side to the inland villages, capturing events and festivals, leveraging the weather. The resort is private and is the summer place of residence of a pair of Milanese who, after having renovated the place, selected it as their Buen Retiro.

The Swimming pool

Description

The citrus trees in the over three acre garden surrounded by winding white footpaths and the silver leaves of olive trees stand out against the vast woodland of mainly holm oak trees, typical examples of Mediterranean evergreen oaks, the last bastion of a landscape that was completely wooded in ancient Roman times. Located between the two settings, encircled by palm trees, the 18-meter pool is fitted out white, Trani marble flagstones and sun beds for sunbathing or lounging.

Privacy Note
The treatment of the data is guaranteed by "Bosco Alto" in compliance with the legislative decree n. 196 dated 30th June 2003, in order to answer to the enquiries and/or in order to send commercial information and advertising leaflets that deal with us and our partners too. You can ask us anytime to ratify or to cancel the data by sending us a message via fax or via e-mail.


  • We do not accept children under the age of 12.
  • Cancellations affect us significantly, due to our small size.
  • Reservations may be secured by a deposit in the amount of 30% of total stay. Deposit are refundable less a € 30 processing fee if we are notifies of cancellation at least 15 days prior to the planned arrival. On the contrary deposit is refundable only if we are able to re-book for the entire length of the reserved stay.
  • Departure before the planned departure date will be treated as cancellations.
  • We accept bank transfers, Traveller’s Checks, Cash and PayPal payments. Credit Cards are not accepted.
  • Arrival and departure times: Check-in 15-18 - Checkout: 8-11: 30.
    Exceptions should be notified in advance.

From Brindisi to take the SS613 highway bound for Lecce, following signs for the Tangenziale Ovest (West Bypass)/Galatina/Gallipoli. Continue for 33 km. Near Lecce take the SS694 bound for Maglie for 10 km, and then continue on the SS16 for 25 km. At Maglie, take the SS275 towards Leuca/Santa Cesarea Terme and head towards Santa Maria di Leuca for 22 km. Once reached Lucugnano town center, turn left into Via della Croce and follow the signs for "bicycle and pedestrian path" right up to the Masseria Bosco Alto.

The closest airport to Lucugnano Tricase is Brindisi, about an hour's drive away. From Brindisi airport, you can either drive to Lucugnano (there are several car hire companies at the airport) or take the train (you can always take the airport shuttle to the train stations of Brindisi and Lecce). On request we can organize the transferral from/to the airport.

You can reach Tricase from Lecce train station taking the Ferrovie del Sud-Est train or using its train-bus interchange service. The station is about 1.5 km from Tricase Bosco Alto.
